What is WBJEE?

The West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) was set up by the West Bengal Government in 1962 to manage a number of Joint Entrance Examinations (JEE) designed to streamline admissions to colleges spread throughout the state.

To evaluate eligibility for admission into various both public and private undergraduate engineering and pharmacy institutes in West Bengal, WBJEEB administers the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) every year. Successful applicants who achieve the necessary score requirements may apply for admission to state universities, public colleges, and privately sponsored institutions.

Candidates interested in technological and engineering programs must show up for both Paper 2 (Physics & Chemistry combined) and Paper 1 (Mathematics). Only those who choose Paper 2 will be taken into consideration for admission to pharmacy programs.

Candidates should be aware that NEET UG from the National Testing Agency will be used for medical admissions & NATA from the National Testing Agency for architecture admissions (NTA).
