It is distributed in six semesters and covers all the core subjects related to communication like newspaper, television, radio, and the internet too. - All the candidates must have completed their 12th in any stream from a recognized university.
- A minimum aggregate of 45% is required in the 12th standard to enroll in BMM program.
- Candidates, age must be at least 17 years old.
Bachelor of Mass Media(BMM)Admission Process
Different colleges throughout the country have different criteria for enrolling students into their programs. Although two most famous methods of enrolling students in the BMM program are – Merit-based and Entrance Exam based. Although these exams are not All India-based and are only conducted by a few colleges. Many colleges offer admissions on a merit basis only.
The process of merit-based admissions is simple and candidates just have to undergo a personal interview. They will be given admissions on the basis of their past academic qualification and their performance in the interview.
Although the entrance exams are only university-based, there are some colleges and they only grant admissions if you pass these exams. They consist of General Knowledge, English, communication skills, reasoning, data interpretation, economics. After that, students have to go through a personal interview and a group discussion session. Candidates who pass all the rounds get admission.
BMM Fees structure
Surprisingly, pursuing a journalism or media communication course isn’t very expensive. If you are pursuing BMM, it would cost you anywhere from around INR 20,000 to INR 90,000 per annum. The fees also depend on the type of institution, whether it’s a government college or a private one. Private colleges are generally much more expensive than government colleges.
